
Having proper Vray integration is a make it or break it deal for me. I do plan to do my own testing, but I wanted to ask a group of seasoned Blender/Vray pros first. What can I expect here from people who have been in this position? Is most of Vray’s functionality developed for Blender as in Maya/3ds? Are there huge gaps in development? Anything missing? What’s the lag time of releases generally speaking? How serious is Chaosgroup about Vray for Blender now and for the future would you say?

After the release of Blender 2.7 I’d like to give Blender a very serious go, but before I dedicate a bunch of time into it, I wanted to ask about Vray in Blender compared to Vray in Maya/3ds Max to the folks who have made the transition already.

I’m coming from 6 years of 3ds Max experience and about 2-3 years of Maya experience with Vray being the common denominator throughout my time in the industry.
